PORSCHE 912 1968
The Porsche 912 has the simplicity of the earlier 356, with the short wheel base suspension and braking system of the early 911.
Our car is fitted with the 1600cc, 4 cylinder 90BHP engine which was only 30 BHP short of the early 911’s, 6 cylinder engine. With the advantage of being lighter at the rear end, the 912 proved to be not as tail happy as the early 911’s.
Our Porsche was originally a Californian car, imported to this country in 1999. It is finished in original burgundy red with black interior; it has been an expensive restoration project for us here at Caledonian Classics. The 912 is a personal favourite of mine and is a true delight to drive. |
